Who We Are
The Bond Between is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that focuses on the bond between humans and animals. Since our start in 2009, we have rescued over 32,000 dogs and cats with the help of thousands of fosters, volunteers, and supporters in our community. Our organization provides safe shelter, proper veterinary care and daily necessities for animals while working hard to help them find or sustain a bond with humans.
We wake up every morning saying YES to connecting people and animals, caring for them, and helping them fill each other’s hearts.
You can help support us today by donating, fostering, volunteering, or sharing The Bond Between.
What We Do
Animal intake takes place at our office. As an Intake Volunteer, you help with animals entering The Bond Between. This position includes but is not limited to the following: filling foster supply requests, setting up crates and kennel runs, getting dogs from the transport van and into their designated crate or kennel run, making sure dogs get to photography and vetting in the specified order as noted by the Intake Manager, making sure all dogs have their vetting bag as given by the Vetting Manager or Paperwork Specialist, taking dogs out to our "potty area", cleaning dogs off as needed, cleaning crates, kennel runs, and the transport van, laundry, dishes, sweeping and mopping at the end of the shift. We do also leave room for lots of kisses and selfies!
In-Office Animal Care takes place at our office. Volunteers are responsible for caring for the animals in the office at specific times throughout the day. Responsibilities include taking dogs out for potty and a walk, giving dogs and cats food, water and any necessary medications, and cleaning up the kennel and condo areas when needed. Shift times vary, but 10-15 minute walks per dog is preferred. All In-Office Animal Caretakers must be at least 18 years old.
